Torrevieja is a coastal town in the southern part of Alicante province on the Costa Blanca.
The city used to be a small old fishing village but has grown tremendously in recent decades and currently has about 100,000 inhabitants. During the summer months, the city lives up and becomes a real holiday paradise for Scandinavians and Madrid residents.

Torrevieja has very good facilities that are famous throughout the province, including a large modern sports area, a public hospital and several shopping centers.
